The India Post, October 9, 2008 :After touching hearts with ‘Painter Babu’ and getting everyone to groove with ‘Jab Sheher Humara Sota Hain’, Manch Tantra is ready to explode Chandigarh’s taste buds with ‘Salt ‘n’ Pepper’, on 10th and 11th October 2008 at St. Stephens School, Sector 45.Manch Tantra as always, promises complete entertainment. Their self composed music which got released today ensures the same. Rochak Kohli, singer, composer and President of the group says, “The music is very contemporary and has been composed in accordance with the varied situations of the play.” The lyrics have been written by Gautam Sharma, Gurpreet Saini and Ranjan Pirta, also members of the group.
“We’ve made sure that light poetry was used for the lyrics to make it in-sync with both the play and a modern city feel” quips in Gautam Sharma, Joint Secretary of the group. The music has been professionally recorded in Delhi and has been produced and arranged by Vinayak and Jyothis, Delhi.
The play revolves around Maya-a copy writer and Pranav-a fashion Photographer who live in a metropolitan and are in a live-in relationship. The play Salt ‘n’ Pepper highlights the intricacies of a relationship and puts forth the point that it is the imperfections in a relationship that make a relationship perfect.
