BY S.P. PANDEY , Chandigarh,April 13 : BSP candidate from Chandigarh seat and former Union Minister for Civil Aviation Mr Harmohan Dhawan today visited village Khudda Ali Sher. While addressing a large gathering he lamented that Congress MP and Minister of State for Finance Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal has been ignoring the genuine and legal demands of the villagers for the last 15 years.
He said that the houses built outside lal dora have been demolished while Mr Bansal had been assuring them for the last many years that these houses will not be demolished. When these houses were demolished Mr. Bansal was just a mute spectator.
Mr Bansal had also promised that the houses located outside Lal Dora area will be regularized, but he failed miserably to get it done. He had also promised the compensation for the land acquisition to be in tune of Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2 crore although nothing has been done so far.
Mr. Dhawan promised that on winning the elections he will get the houses outside the lal dora area regularized and the compensation for the land acquisition will be atleast Rs 1.5 crore and he further promised the extension of Lal Dora.
The BSP leader also addressed a public meeting at sector 56, where people listened to him patiently and he assured them of solving all major problems of the area after winning the election from Chandigarh seat.
