Chandigarh : The Jan Chetna Yatra led by former Deputy Prime Minister of India Sh. Lal Krishna Advani would be given a warm welcome on its arrival at Chandigarh and it will be a historic event which will change the political scenario not only in Chandigarh but also adjoining states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand” said Sh. Sanjay Tandon while addressing the meeting of senior party functionaries held at ‘Kamlam’ to review the final preparations for the Jan Chetna Yatra and mass rally at Rally Ground, Sector 25, Chandigarh.
Sh. Sanjay Tandon said that the Yatra is receiving overwhelming response throughout the country and there is great enthusiasm among the party activists about the Jan Chetna Yatra.
Sh. Tandon said that the party activists should maintain decorum during the Jan Chetna Yatra. The Yuva Morcha has been given the responsibility for the security and clearance of the route of Yatra.
Party Media Incharge Shakti Prakash Devshali said that Former Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman BJP Parliamentary Party will arrive at Airport at 4.00 P.M. from where he will be taken to the Rally ground in the shape of a Convoy comprising of more than 500 two wheelers and 200 four wheelers. He will arrive at Rally Ground, Sector 25, Chandigarh at 5.00 P.M. The rally would be addressed by Sh. Lal Krishna Advani and senior party leaders including Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Sh. Anant Kumar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Arun Jaitley, Murlidhar Rao, Saroj Pande, Shyam Jaju would be present on the occasion.
Sh. Lal Krishna Advani will also address a Press Conference on 17th November, 2011 at 9.30 A.M. at Hotel Shivalikview, Sector 17, Chandigarh before leaving the city.
