Chandigarh, Oct 17, 2008 : The Euphoria group of women in association with Ivy Hospital Mohali organized a dance and tambola party on the occasion of Karva Chauth at Sip & Dine restaurant, Sector 7 here today.
Medical Director of Ivy Hospital Mohali, Dr Kanwal Deep Kaur said, "The festival of Karva Chauth is an occasion which provides strength to the institution of marriage. Although the festival belongs to Hindus, still I prefer to keep Karva Chauth vrat just to keep myself happy and to celebrate the beautiful relationship with my husband."
Around 30 women attired in colourful clothes and jewellery participated in the dance and various games. They also performed certain rituals related with the festival and this vrat particularly. The atmosphere filled with happiness and joy when all the ladies joined the dance party on DJ music.
Mrs Sharmita Bhinder of Leaps & Bounds coaching academy said, "Euphoria is a group of happy women, which comprise women from different walks of life. Ms Prabhjot Kaur is from the mass media background and Ms Gargi Duggal runs her Alankar Boutique. Ms Preeti Chawla is another prominent member of the group.
