Chandigarh, July 8: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has asked UPA government to seek trust vote or resign. INLD president & senior UNPA leader, Mr Om Parkash Chautala said that Dr Manmohan Singh government came into power with the support of left parties and it has lost its majority after withdrawal of support by Left parties so it should prove its majority at the floor of the house.
Former Haryana Chief Minister said that Dr Manmohan Singh should follow the example of J & K chief minister Mr Gulab Nabi Azad, who resigned yesterday only after his coalition partner PDP withdrew support from his government. He said that after being reduced into minority, UPA government has lost its moral right to be in power & immediate elections should be announced.
INLD chief said that the people of the country are suffering due to spiraling prices, deteriorating law & order, scarcity of water & electricity but all the attention of government is on Nuclear Deal only rather then people’s problems like price rise etc. He said that government should focus on the basic issues and also clarify on the objection raised by the political parties. He said that the eagerness being shown by Congress government to push Nuclear Deal has raised many doubts with the people.
Mr Chautala said that impression has been created in the people of the country that sovereignty & independence of the nation is of utmost importance and the Manmohan government is working under Bush Administration pressure in detriment to the national pride. The brave people of the country would not accept any such attempt, he further added.
