15 Oct : The Results of State Teachers Eligibility Test-2008 conducted by Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani has been declared today. The results has been made available on the Board’s website . Please click here to get result Giving this information today, Commissioner and Secretary, Languages and Education Department, Government of Haryana and the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Rajan Gupta said that the results had been prepared in a record time and the Board had adopted full sanctity and transparency in the conduct of these examinations and in the declaration of the result. He said that this eligibility test would go a long way in improving the quality of teachers and in strengthening the educational standards in the State.
The Board Secretary, Mr S K Goyal said that the test for School Heads, Elementary Teachers, Lecturers and Masters was conducted on October 4, 5, 11 and 12 respectively. Giving the details of the statistics of the eligibility test, the Board’s Secretary said that in the test for Lecturers of Arts and Commerce, a total of 54149 candidates applied for the examination, out of which 41184 took the examination, in which 36108 candidates belonged to the general category and 5076 candidates belonged to the Scheduled Castes category. The maximum marks obtained in the General Category was 282..25 and 7274 candidates were declared successful. Similarly in the Scheduled Castes category, the maximum marks obtained was 259 and 1016 candidates were declared successful.
Mr. Goyal said that in the Science Stream, a total of 4943 candidates applied for the examination and all of them took the examination, in this 4605 candidates belonged to General Category and 338 belonged to Scheduled Castes category. The maximum marks for the General Category were 225.75 and successful candidates in the category were 923. Similarly, in Scheduled Castes, the maximum marks obtained was 169.50 and 68 candidates were declared successful in the examination, he added.
