S. P. Pandey, Chnadigarh, 10th March, 2009 :Former Union Minister for Civil Aviation and BSP convenor Mr Harmohan Dhawan has wished happy holi to the residents of this City Beautiful. BSP Candidate for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls from Chandigarh, Mr Dhawan also reiterated to fight for the betterment and overall development of this first planned city of India.
Talking to a group of the business community who visited his residence in Sector 9, Mr Dhawan said, “Once elected to the next Lok Sabha, I would ensure that most of the tax payers money collected from the local citizens should be utilized for the development of Chandigarh.”
It may be recalled that during the past tenure of Mr Dhawan as the member of Parliament from Chandigarh, during the government of then Prime Minister Mr Chandra Shekhar, he managed to bring various large projects to this City. The Government Medical College & Hospital-32, Kajoli Water Works and allotment of land for the housing societies are few such proud projects.
Expressing happiness on the arrival of the festival of colours, Mr Dhawan cautioned people and especially children to “play a safe holi, which is a joy for the society and a medium of friendship among people.”
