Pandey, Chandigarh, 9th March, 2009 : It was a hectic day for the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate from Chandigarh Parliamentary seat, Mr Harmohan Dhawan, who attended several programmes during the day, starting from a breakfast meeting at sector 30, followed by a scooter rally and a blood donation camp at Behlana, to a tea party hosted by the residents of sector 20.
A Breakfast meeting was organized by the residents of Sector 30 here where BSP leader Mr Harmohan Dhawan addressed the gathering. BSP State General Secretary, Mr Yash Pal Agnihotri was also present on the occasion. Mr Dhawan said, “I gave many big projects to the City Beautiful during my previous tenure as Union Minister for Civil Aviation. Once again I am willing to change the fortune of this unique city of India.”
Mr Dhawan flagged off a scooter rally by the BSP youth workers of Mauli Jagran. The rally comprised of more than 200 scooterists who went around the city and reached at the BSP election office-cum-residence of Mr Harmohan Dhawan. Mr Sada Sawan Lehri was appointed President of Mauli Jagran BSP (Youth Wing).
Meanwhile, a tea party was held at the Sector 20A community center in honour of Mr Dhawan. The tea party was organized by Mr Rakesh Sood, District President, BSP, and attended by Mr SS Malhotra, Mr Chaman Lal Hora and Mr Rajiv Kathuria, Youth President.
The BSP leader also inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by Behlana Youth Club in the morning. More than 40 peope donated their blood for the welfare of the needy patients.
