By Sargun Makhni ,14 Sep : Since 1995, on 16 September each year, the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is celebrated. This date has been designated by the United Nations, to commemorate the signing of the Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. In context with this, Global Environment Concern (GEC) along with young minds of India will stand up on this day to make India Greener cleaner and better. The course of event requisites hoisting of banners across the various light points across the city in order to spread awareness and develop consciousness for what stands today might be eroded tomorrow. However, GEC is an International Organization working for social concerns that is Environment, Education and Entrepreneurship with an established base in India and the United States. GEC advocates the need for conservation of natural resources and natural eco-systems through its various projects and activities. GEC organizes various awareness development programs to educate people and society on issues of sustainable development and consumption.
