The students of Paramedical sciences and Medical Technologist of Govt. Medical College & Hospital organized Technofest-2013 today i.e. 02.05.2013.
Govt.Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chd. provides graduation in various paramedical courses since last many years. Every year more than 100 students get admission in these courses and gain education and knowledge to serve the mankind.
Every year Techno fest is being organized by the students of Paramedical sciences along with Medical technologists.Technofest is cultural event where students get chance to show their talent in the cultural activities.
In this cultural event the student’s paramedical sciences performed the Indian classical, western, bollywood dances and Bhangra.
The programme was started with the Worship of god Lord Ganpati following a classical dance by the students.
Students while highlighting the serious issue of atrocities on females after their marriage for dowry and for having male child in our society, students performed a musical act “Khedan De Din Char”.
Keeping in view the growing threat to security of Indian boundaries a patriotic act “Kabhi Bhul Na Jana” was played to pay tribute to Indian Soldier for protecting us and boundaries of our country. This act was well appreciated by the audience and students pledged to work for betterment of our country.
Prof.Atul Sachdev Director Principal, GMCH was the Chief Guest and Ms.Kirron Kher famous bollywood star was the guest of honour on this occasion.
While delivering the Inaugural speech, Prof.Atul Sachdev said, Medical technologist plays an important role in treatment and diagnosis of the patient. An accurate diagnosis can be done only by the qualified medical technologist. GMCH is delivering a good quality training and education for the paramedical sciences students so that they can play vital role in improving the health care system in India. Moreover Govt. of India is starting Regional Institute of Paramedical sciences in GMCH shortly which will be a boon for the students who are interested to pursue their carrier in paramedical sciences. .
Famous bollywood star Ms. Kirron Kher while delivering the speech congratulated the students for organizing Technofest-2013. She said 50% of the youth in the universe are living in the India and they can play an important role in building a good cultured society and a strong nation. She also stressed on the need of more government institutions of paramedical sciences in India to overcome the shortage of qualified medical technologist for the treatment and diagnosis of population. She appreciated the musical act “Khedan de din char” on female atrocities. She said atrocities on female in our society can be stopped only by educating the people and explaining them the importance of female on earth. The decreasing ratio of male and female is an alarming sign our society.
Mr. Laxmikant Tewari during delivering vote of thanks conveyed sincere thanks to Prof.Atul Sachdev and Mrs. Kirron Kher for spending their valuable time. He further stated that the paramedical science is a growing field in India. Student after getting there degrees in medical technology are getting good jobs in India and abroad. He insisted to the students of paramedical sciences to be more consistent in there studies so that they can achieve good positions after completing there education and bring good name to the GMCH in India and abroad. He warned students to check the credibility of institution from where they are interested to get degree in paramedical sciences since a lot of fake institutions are also running Para medical courses which are not even recognized by Govt. of India.More then 700 people attended the Techno fest-2013 and appreciated the cultural programme.
