CHANDIGARH, July 10, 2008:As part of the Founders’ Day celebrations, the Chandigarh Press Club is organising a two day seminar on "Public Perception of Media" beginning July 12, 2008. The exercise is to analyse the different developments and trends in the media and allied professions
On July 12, 2008 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, people from all walks of life have been extended an open invitation to reach the club premises and present in brief their perception about the current goings on in the Media world. An effort would be made to compile the public expression about the impact media had on the lives of the common citizens.
On the next day, the July 13, 2008, journalists from all sections of the media would get together for brain storming session to analyse the public perception about their profession and related activities. The outcome of these two sessions would form the basis of series of discussions throughout the year.
Meanwhile, the club would also organise a Kavi Darbar on the evening of July 12, a mini bumper tambola on the evening of July 13, which are open only its members.
On the Founders’ Day which falls on July 15, 2008, while the Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal would address a "Meet-the-Press" programme, where only regular and candidate members would be allowed. In the evening, all categories of members would get together to acknowledge the contribution of the founding members of the club.
