Jorawer Singh, Chandigarh, August 30, 2009: “We do not need flyovers or high rise buildings to make Chandigarh world class city” said Pawan Kumar Bansal, speaking at the ‘Management Meet” on “Positioning Chandigarh organised by CMA. While underlining the importance of water, electricity, solar system, Metro , Airports, IIMs, IITs, in development of a city, Mr Bansal, currently Union Cabinet Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources, favoured concentration of education avenues at “Education City” as against that of medical projects, which he suggested should be scattered for maximizing benefits.
Recognizing the efforts in providing quality education and helping youth getting employment, CMA honoured four prominent educationists of the region namely Col. B.S. Sandhu (Retd.) (WWICS group), Mr Satnam Singh Sandhu (CGC, Landran), Dr. Gulshan Sharma (ITFT Group) and Mr Anshu Kataria (Aryans Group, Banur).
On behalf of the business fraternity, CMA President, Col. (Retd.) Karamjeet Singh, resolved to participate in the development of city with proactive contributions from its experienced members coming from diverse fields. Other eminent speaker were Col. (Retd.) Karamjeet Singh, Mr. I.S.Paul, Mr. J N Vohra, Mr. A. K. Gandhi, Mr. P K Vasudeva & Mr. V.K. Goyal.
