Chandigarh February 1: Dr. K.V Singh, OSD (Media) to Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda has suggested the leaders of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) to honour the decision of CBI Court and proceed legally in the case. They should not try to mislead the people by making it a political issue.
In a statement issued here today, Dr. Singh said that the way INLD leaders were targeting Congress in this case was completely baseless and condemnable. He said that the approach of the Congress Party has always been developmental oriented and the party never did anything out of political vendetta. The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda was heading the Government in the State for the last eight years and he did not believe in political vendetta.
Dr. Singh said that when on the complaint of an IAS officer, the CBI had started investigation in the case on the direction of Supreme Court in the year 2003, Mr. Om Prakash Chautala was the Chief Minister of Haryana and at Center, NDA was in power which was supported by INLD. Similarly, when the case was registered in the year 2004, even then also INLD was in power in the State and of NDA at the Center. Therefore, it was completely wrong to target Congress in this case. He suggested that it would be better for the INLD to take this case in a legal perspective rather than making it a political issue.
He said that the INLD leaders, after implicating in this legal case was trying to defame the Congress Party and misguiding the people through worker meetings, hoardings and mobile SMSs. But the people of the State were very much aware of their past and they would not be misguided by such political gimmicks.
Describing Mr. Hooda as a gentle leader, Mr. K.V Singh said that the Chief Minister never believed in cheap comments. Hence, the INLD leaders should not consider his gentleness as weakness. He said that the people of the State were observing the Congress rule for the last eight years and they quite understand that Mr. Hooda did not have intention of hurting even his opponent. His approach was to ensure inclusive development of the State without any political discrimination and regionalism and Mr. Hooda has proved this in the last eight years, he added.
Dr. Singh claimed that in view of the present political scenario of the State, it could be clearly stated that Mr. Hooda would become the Chief Minister of the State for third consecutive term also.
