S.P.Pandey,Chandigarh, March 22 : Mr Satya Pal Jain, BJP candidate for Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency has, in a statement said that Congress party is trying to mislead people by giving wrong statistics pertaining to inflation. Jain alleged that the statements made by Congress on the issue are baseless and against the facts. ?Fact of the matter is that the prices of many of the commodities have gone up by 15% to 20%,? he asserted. Jain told people while addressing various public meetings organised in Sector 22, 24, 32, 40, 48 & Indra Colony, Manimajra.
Criticising bitterly the Congress Party, he said that the law and order situation has deteriorated, terror was let loose and the inflation touched a new high in the congress regime. Ex-servicemen, who spent their lives in the service of the country, have been pushed to wall and they had no choice other than to return their medals.
All sects of the society, including labourers, traders, employees, youth and the students have been consistently ignored and the government did not take any step to create new jobs for the unemployed youth. He said that every section of the society has been taken for a ride. Jain appealed to the audience to vote for BJP and teach a lesson to the tyrant UPA government led by the Congress, and ensure that Sh. Lal Krishna Advani becomes the Prime Minister.
Jain said that the NDA government led by BJP will ensure all round development of the city and the participation of the citizens of the city, in the decision making process, will be made a permanent feature. He promised that he will ensure the construction of fly overs to address the aggravating situation of traffic and multi-story and underground parkings will be made in the City Beautiful. He will initiate the project to bring the Metro by including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and UT governments so that the people of the city and vicinity do not face any problem while commuting to and fro. He said that he will ensure employment-oriented education for the students and UT?s own Selection Board will be set up to provide suitable employment to the youth.
Jain said that he will take steps to form committees comprising of the administrative officials and the residents of the southern sectors to ensure all round development of these sectors as well. Besides, he will try to ensure that the upkeep of the inner roads and the lighting arrangement within the society premises is also undertaken by the local administration so that the residents of these societies are relieved of the additional burden.
