Chandigarh March, 30 2009:: Deep Chand Yadav, President of BJP division 4 (consisting of Colony no 4, Sanjay Colony and Sector 29) and BJP women?s cell President Lalmati Devi today lead thousands of women and men against reduction in kerosene quota of from 30 litres to10 litres per family.
Addressing the demonstrators State BJP President Mrs Kamala Sharma said if anyone is most troubled under the rule of congress party which came to power after getting votes of the poor and middle classes in the last Lok Sabha elections it is the colony residents and the middle class. She said when NDA was ruling the country the kerosene quota of colony residents was 30 litres per family, on coming to power congress party first reduced it to 20 litres and then to 10 litres. Even this is given after standing in long queues. Due to this policy change colony residents have to lose their daily wages and sometimes even after this there is no oil and people have to go without food. For this Congress party is directly responsible. She said time has come for the people to teach a lesson to the congress party.
State BJP women?s cell chief Mrs Ramnik Sharma said when Vajpayee government was in power at the centre the poor residents of Colonies were given yellow cards which entitled them to 30 Kg rations at cheap rates, Congress party has reduced it to 15 Kg. She warned the colony residents to beware of false promises and empty promises of Congress party and do not fall in the trap of the party in future. She said this party which asked for votes of the poor is the most anti poor party.
