CHANDIGARH, OCT 10 :The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Associated added another feather in its cap as one of its trainees under the Commonwealth Youth Programme, Mohammad Aiman BinAbdullah has been included in the Brunei tennis team which will take part in the Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in Pune from October 12 to 18.
Giving this information here today, CLTA chairman Rajan Kashyap said that Mohammad Aiman joined the CLTA under the Youth Programme as trainee at the CLTA Complex in March 2007. In a communication to Raj K Mishra, Regional Director, Commonwealth Youth Programme Asia Centre, Chandigarh, Haji Abdul Malik Bin Haji Mohammad, said "Mohammad Aiman bin Abdullah, Brunei Darussalam scholarship student, studying at St Stephen’s School, Sector 45 and the CLTA is selected astennis athlete to represent Brunei Darussalam in the Commonwealth Youth Games, Pune India."
He has requsted Mr Raj K Mishra to give "academic leave" to Mohammad Aiman boin Abdullah from his academic and training session for a period of 13 days from October 8 to 20..
The CLTA trainee from Brunei has a All India Tennis Association ranking of 154 in under-18 and 104 in Under-16. Mohammad Aiman looked confident to give his best performance in Pune.
Meanwhile another CLTA trainee Vijayant Malik, a product of CHART is among the four-member Indian team which will compete in the Commonwealth Youth Games. Other members are Yuki Bhambri, Akash Wagh and Sudenwar Sitaram.
