Chandigarh : Our own City girl Vivitsa has brought laurels to Chandigarh by winning the National level prize in painting in the Tagore Competition that INTACH organized at Strawberry School. She is heading to Shantiniketan(West Bengal) for the felicitation ceremony . According to Mr VK Kapoor convenor INTACH, Excited to collect her Award, Vivista is an all rounder student who has been doing well in extra curriculum activities and academics as well. She will be accompanied by her parents for the award ceremony .
Vivitsa Kohli, a 16 year old is studying in 11th Standard in Bhavan Vidyalaya. Her creativity was recognized at an early age due to a lot of exposure to the world of Art by her mother, who’s is an interior designer having high aesthetics. Vivitsa has covered everything from basic sketching to intricate water painting with years of practice. Currently, she is working on figure drawing with special emphasis on learning the techniques on facial expressions as shown in her work which has been selected for receiving this great honour at Shankti Niketan. Her aim is to get admission in NID, Ahmadabad.
According to her mother, she has the inherited talent in her .At this age we are inculcating the best of art in her so that she channelizes her talent and energy towards her passion which she will finally adopt as her profession in the coming years. Adding to her mother statement, Vivitsa says, “I am thankful to my Principal, teacher and parents for their support and motivation in all ways. Without learning the rudimentary from my art teacher, I wouldn’t have reached here so far. Hence I am thankful to all who are connected to me in my pursuit to achieve excellence.
