CHANDIGARH- August 10, 2010: There will be a scenic conjunction of Moon, Mars, Venus and Saturn on 13th August, 2010, after the sunset, in the western sky. The four celestial bodies will appear together in the sky over an angular spread of around 10 degrees. The Moon, Mars and Saturn will appear to form a triangle, with the bright Venus at the centre of the triangle. The Moon will be in a spectacular waxing crescent phase. The Mars and Saturn will be faint compared to the bright Moon and Venus. The conjunction will gradually appear after the sunset in the western sky and will become bright after 7:30 p.m. Even though the conjunction will be visible with the naked eyes, a binoculars or telescope will enhance the details according to Dr. Sandeep Sahijpal, Astrophysics & Planetary Sciences Reader, Dept. of Physics, P.U.
