CHANDIGARH, APRIL 2,Chandigarh Cricket Association-Guru Nanak Public School Academy, Sector 36 defeated AJP Academy of Kharar by 30 runs in the Chandigarh Under-13 Inter-Academy 30 Overs Cricket Tournament being organised by Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy at the St Stephen’s School ground in Sector 45 here today.
GNPS Academy won th toss and elected to bat. They scored 146 for 6 in allotted 30 overs. Harjit Singh topscored with 58 runs. His innings was studded with three boundaries. Sanjog made a polished 46 which was studded with seven fours. APJ Academy’s Sahil captured three wickets for 31 runs.
In reply, APJ Academy could muster only 116 before being dismissed in 27.2 overs. Openers Anmolpreet (34, 6x4s) and Sahil (12) gave the Kharar Academy a good start as they realised 55 runs for the first wicket. After Anmolpreet’s dismissal, APJ Academy lost quick wickets. Omick contributed 15 runs.
GNPS Academy bowlers Sanjog (3 for 15) and Arjit (2 for 29) were the most successful bowlers as they bowled out APJ Academy for 116.
