CHANDIGARH, October 3: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today condemned the arrest of party legislator Sukhpal Khaira who was protesting against the illegal grabbing of transport business by the Badal family.
Addressing a press conference here today, Capt Amarinder said, it was the extreme of the intolerance being shown by the Akali-BJP government in dealing with the day today protests.
Justifying the protest by Khaira, the PCC President said, the entire party supported and stood by him and his protest. He said, it was necessary to expose the Badals’ misdeeds in public and Khaira had taken up the right cause in the right manner.
