Chandigarh, 13 August 2011:- Sisters from Brahma Kumaris organisation celebrated Rakshabandhan with great zeal and enthusiasm in and around Chandigarh continuously for a week by organizing more than 30 public programmes to spread the message of the festival.
These programmes concluded today at Rajyoga Bhawan, Zonal Head office of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in the form of a Public Event titled “Significance of Raksha Bandhan in Modern- Age” in which Rakhis were tied to hundreds of people. Everyone was inspired by blessings of Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Achal Didi .
The main purpose of these programmes were to spread public awareness all around on the importance of Raksha bandhan in the present situation to build a better world based up on the value system.Today, in the morning Brahma Kumaris sisters tied Rakhis to dignitaries including Shivraj V.Patil, Governor, Punjab, Jagan Nath Pahadia, Governor, Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana, Pawan Bansal, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, K.K. Sharma, Advisor to Administrator, Cabinet Ministers of Haryana, Capt Ajay Singh, Randeep Singh Surjewala.
Scared Thread of Rakhi were also tied to Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court including Acting Chief Justice A. K. Goyal, Justice MMS Bedi, Justice M. M. Kumar, Justice L.N. Mittal, Justice S N Aggarwal, Justice S K Mittal, Justice Rajan Gupta, H S Hooda, Advocate General,Haryana, Justice Pritam Pal ,Lok Pal, Haryana.
Sr. IAS officers of Punjab and Hayana including Naresh Gulati, IAS, Chief Information Commissioner, Dhanpat Singh, IAS, S.K.Sandhu, IAS, M.P.Singh, IAS,Sarban Singh, IAS, Kripa Shankar Saroj, IAS, Dr. Pawan Kapoor, Director, CSIO were also tied Rakhis.
Media Personalities including Kamlendra Kanwar, Sr. Associate Editor of The Tribune, Vipin Pubby, Resident Editor, Indian Express, Manish Tiwari, Editor, Daily Post, Naresh Kaushal, Editor, Dainik Tribune also celebrated the festival by tying Rakhis from Brahma Kumari Sisters.
