Chandigarh : As promised in the party’s election manifesto, Bharatiya Janata Party has started organizing ‘Open Darbar’ in various parts of the city. An Open Darbar was organized in Sector 46 where BJP President Sh. Sanjay Tandon alongwith Ward Councillor Smt. Heera Negi and Councillor Asha Jaswal heard the grievances of the general public. On this occasion representatives of various departments of Municipal Corporation i.e. Sh. Suresh Handa, Ranvir Singh and Sh. Madan Rana were also present.
While bringing their problems to the notice of Party President Sh. Sanjay Tandon and Area Councillor Smt. Heera Negi the Residents of the area demanded Benches in the Green Belts for senior citizens and swings and other playing equipments for the children. Besides this they said that they are facing the problem of sanitation since long but nothing has been done. They also brought to the notice of Councillor Smt. Heera Negi that the work of laying of Paver Blocks was passed long back but has not been executed till date. The local residents also demanded opening of a ‘Sampark Centre’ in the Sector keeping in view the thick population of the area.
Councillor Smt. Heera Negi assured the residents that all their demands will be brought to the notice of senior officials of Municipal Corporation and they problems will be sorted very soon.
BJP President Sh. Sanjay Tandon said that the party had promised before Municipal Corporation elections that the party Councillors will listen to the grievances of the general public by going to their respective places. The Councillors of the party are to serve people and there is no need to visit the residence of Councillors repeatedly for their works. Earlier to this the party held an ‘Open Darbar’ in Sector 23 where area Councillor Smt. Asha Jaswal heard the problems of the local residents. He said that the problems of the residents will be sorted out on priority basis and all the demands will be considered seriously and the public will not be made to suffer.
On this occasion President of Residents Welfare Associations Sh. S.P.Jand, Baldev Raj alongwith Sh. K.C. Kaul, R.D. Sharma, Hitesh Pandit, Joginder Minta, S.C.Gupta, R.K.Goyal, Anil Gupta, D.D. Sindhi, Jaswant Chadha, Surjit Singh, Jaswant Singh, Praveen, Pushkar Singh Rawat, Gulshan Kumar, Ram Singh Sunil Rana, Joginder, Sham Lal, Sardul Singh and huge number of local residents were present.
