The India Post, 11th October, 2008 :Artscape, regions premium Art Gallery, opened a Solo Show of Paintings by Artist Sanjay K Sable on Friday, 10th October with a vibrant display of 28 works of the Artist.
The collection is vibrant in terms of colors and emotions displayed through strokes of the artist encompassing the pure joy and happiness of women derived from simple pleasures in their lives. After a hard day at work, the rural Indian woman finds comfort and solace with her children, appreciating nature among birds and animals, music and friends.
Professor Sanjay Sable has always been influenced by poor, hardworking and depressed humans and their intensity and spirit to struggle for their daily bread, yet appearing calm and relaxed. Experiencing the highs and lows of life she shares her moments of happiness interacting with birds, her gossips with Sakhi, mother showing affection towards her child, women enjoying music, women sitting relaxed with her untied hair, such are her little moments of joy which brighten her dark life, this exploration leads the artist to title his exhibition ‘BRIGHT TIME exploring creativity’
Perfection of forms, fineness of texture, fluidity, color schemes, various aspects of the feelings of women are expressed by the artist through constructive thoughts.
Not conforming to the principles of aesthetics, he has developed his own inimitable style that employs the illusion of volume together with a languorous style to radiate sensuousness. Sable’s works unleash the myriad possibilities of shading and the juxtaposition of colors to create stylized iconic forms. His work expresses his independent style of painting which is very influential.
Sanjay K Sable is a Maharashtra based artist with a number of shows, workshops and laurels to his credit. Before this show in Chandigarh, he held a solo show in Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
The Exhibition is on from 10th October to 31st October 2008 at ARTSCAPE, Krishna BMW.
