Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh ,April 24 : The organizers, Angel Rangers were in the neighborhood with yet another message to all the people living in the society and something to do good, over the long weekend. The Festival of Life, the journey of the world best teacher Jesus Christ. It was a complete three day festival getting in together children of all societies underprivileged and privileged together and bind the society with chords of compassion and friendship. The 3 day festival kicked off with making dreams a reality, at the community center of Kendriya Vihar.
“Spare the rod and save the Child”, Jesus is known to be the best teacher in the world. He gave up His life on the cross so that we might live and with that note the children paid their respect to the world best teacher. A teacher who taught that the kingdom of heaven belongs to children such as these. Love each other as I have loved you.In the big picture of having fun with art the children were involved in dancing and singing they also created their own cross made out of broken tiles. That was the message of “Healthy, Wealthy and Happy Children”. Every child is special and has talent that needs to be discovered.
The Angel Rangers specially arranged to have workshops conducted by people who loved kids, Photography by Mr Ashish Singh, Guitar by Mr Sameer, Easter Cake: Ms Theresa Micheal and the choco chef Mr Jitendra and Mr Ramesh who made the specialty of the season Easter Eggs with pure chocolate and a lot of imagination.
Easter is also a season of gifting and gifting of the first fruits were donated to all the children from the Jagatpura Slums who were specially invited to celebrate the occasion of Good Friday and to ring in the Easter season. A season that signifies new life, with a renewed spirit and equal opportunities.
The Chief Guest of the event was media shy but gifted photographer Mr Ashish Singh, the son of renowned and award winner Mr Jasmail Singh was so much enthused by the love of the children, who were all from the slum areas of Jagatpura area, said that he has discovered more talent in areas like these than any other place in the world. He also explained to the yearning children the fine nuances of photography and careers that one can make all they would need to know the finer tips of capturing the moment. He also explained that children must keep in the mind all good memories and smile for a life time. That is the shortest way to make this world a better place, because we need children, and we must be love all children. A special message for the day was also by telling the parents not to stop hugging the children, but to keep on doing it, do as many times.
The children also discussed the problems they faced at home, school and the society. Mr Ashish Singh promised, not to solve just one problem but, to solve all their problems. A strong note to all parents, teachers and principals to love children and to spare the rod. All the children loved each and everything thing that Mr Ashish Singh said and were willing to also do their bit to make the world a better place was to first start with, “Love Your Neighbor and the world will become a better place”. Mr Ashish Singh also announced his special batches of photography and the art of film making for all the slum children. He stressed on to the children make up for more than have of the audience, they must know which programs or movies they must watch and which ones they should avoid. This will help movie makers to make better movies.
The event wound up with learning and yearning that every child had a special gift of talent, some discovered their talent in composing songs, singing, dancing, acting, cooking, and so much of fun in doing things together, for them the show must go in.
