Chandigarh, 28th Sep : Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh celebrated Agrasen Jayanti by giving to society a gift of life. The highlight of the festivity was a mega blood donation camp organized by the Sabha at the Aggarwal Bhawan located in sector 30, Chandigarh. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Justice Mr. Surinder Gupta, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court. In this Aggarwal families and people from all segments participated with great fervour.184 Units of Blood were collected.
Apart from the blood donation camp the morning session saw distribution of certificates by the Chief Guest to students of computer courses and stitching centre, being run by the Sabha. According to Mr. Prem Chand Gupta, President, Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh, “The Sabha organizes many socially beneficial initiatives. The Sabha has placed free ambulance service for the society, free computer education, scholarship for poor students, widow pension, financial aid for medical treatment and marriages of poor Aggarwal girls. The Sabha has recently also contributed with financial aid for relief operations in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Mr. Sunil Gupta, General Secretary, Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh read out the annual report of the Sabha in which all activities conducted by the Sabha in the past one year were enumerated. Mr. Prem Chand Gupta, President, Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh gave the valedictory note. The event also witnessed the city’s well-known entrepreneurs, social workers and bright students being, honoured by the Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh. Those were honoured included Mr Praveen Goyal, Sr advocate, Mr. Praveen Singla, CA, Mr Mudhit Garg, Ms Harshita Gupta, Mr Ayush Goyal, Mr. Sahil Jain, Mr Sidharth Goyal, Mr Radhav Gupta and Mr Abhinav Garg.
