Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh,April 7 : Punjab & Haryana high court bar association today unanimously & collectively raised their voice against corruption and openly supported Jan Lok Pal Bill and promised to give full support to Anna Hazare. All the advocates came out of their chambers in sector 17 plaza where they in one chorus raised slogans against corruption, corrupt people and hailed the movement started by Anna Hazare.” I have never seen such a huge gathering of advocates at one place for any particular cause which is pertaining to something outside judiciary. I am very happy to see such type of concern in this very sect of our society”, said an onlooker who was wearing an astonished face expression after watching the advocated in single hymn for Anna Hazare.
“We are with Anna Hazare, we are with Jan Lok Pal Bill. Every one today is corrupt, we are surrounded by corruption from all sides. So this is the time to unite and fight against corruption”, said Senior Advocate S.S. Toor. Some same sort of words were spoken by president of Bar, Senior Advocate Kulbir Singh Dhaliwal, who said,” I am today very happy to see that we all have united together against corruption. This amass presence of advocates prove that we are one & together we will eradicate this evil of society. We are with you Anna Hazare”.
Some of the advocates, present in the ocean of black coats, who were of the same opinion and were standing errect for the cause were Prem Singh Bhangu, Anupam Gupta, D.S. Pherumann, Loveleen Dhaliwal, Satraj Singh Toor, president district bar association N.K. Nanda, N.K. Verma convener district Mohali, Vinod Sharma secretary Punjab Pradesh Congress committe, N.S.Sitta Ex Dpty. Advocate General Punjab and many more forming a tsunami of advocates.
It was not only the advocates but many more societies which came hand in hand for the cause. Citizens council for Human Rights president Sh. Sushil Gupta & his supporters were also present hand in hand for Jan Lok Pal Bill.
