By Jagpreet Sandhu, Chandigarh, February 3 : Flying Fox, which promotes inspirational aerial adventure through its unique concept of zip tours in distinctive locations has unveiled its latest aerial adventure zip tour at The Kikar Lodge, providing adventure lovers in Delhi and the Punjab – as well as domestic and international tourists with an exhilarating new way to experience the beautiful scenery of the Shivalik Hills.
Securely attached by climbing harness and pulley, adventurers will soar through the air along a series of 5 zip wires, enjoying breathtaking views. With a total length of 1.5 kilometres, this is the longest Zip Line in Asia.
Founders Jonathan Walter and Richard McCallum said “We will fly our customers from hill top to hill top, across breathtaking valleys and through the forest canopy – with a chance to spot the 1800 acre resort’s more exotic inhabitants like sambar and chital – so you’ll feel more like an bird on the wing than a tourist”, says Walter.
According to Richard McCallum, who visited Chandigarh on 2nd February to aggressively market Zip Line in Punjab, “The Kikar Lodge already provides an extensive range of adventure activities through Xtreme Ways and our target market for the Zip Line at Kikkar Lodge is educations institutions, corporates, individuals, schools and colleges located in Chandigarh & Punjab.
Flying Fox Kikar is a two hour adventure experience, which includes: fitting of personal safety harness, full safety brief, practice zip, and zip tour along 5 separate zip wires ranging from 180–400 metres in length, connected by short walks. The tour starts and finishes in the Lodge. Maintaining the same international standards as at Flying Fox Neemrana and Jodhpur, the safety equipment is imported from France and checked on a daily basis. The zip tour is British designed and managed and all the instructors are trained to European standard. Flying Fox has recruited Site Manager Josh Little (Britisher) and Senior Instructor Kris Rawson (Britisher) to run onsite operations at Kikar Lodge.
