Chandigarh, Dec 13–Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Haryana, Dr K.K. Khandelwal today urged the Lecturers and Assistant Professors of various universities to not consider their profession as merely a source of earning their livelihood, but render a valuable service of being a guide to the society and future maker in consonance with their profession.
Dr Khandelwal was speaking as a Chief Guest at the inauguration of 6th Orientation Programme at Bhagat Phool Singh Women University at Khanpur Kalan in district Sonipat. This programme would continue upto January 11, 2011.
He also urged them to infuse self confidence among their students. He inspired the participants by quoting a number of examples and added that the society needed persons like Swami Vivekananda. He pointed out that when the teacher teaches the students in a classroom, he reflects his character, piousness and other aspects which make their impact upon the students.
Vice Chancellor of Bhagat Phool Singh Women University, Dr Pankaj Mittal appreciated the leadership of Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the development of the State.
