The falling rain failed to dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic students of KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh who joined hands to celebrate the love for their country presenting a grand cultural show on the eve of the 65th Independence Day by.
Nearly 1200 children from Pre-Nursery to Class XII presented their dance items with full spirit of patriotism. A cultural bonanza on rocking melodious numbers was presented by Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Kindergarten, primary and senior class students. The audience tapped their feet on “Takat Watan Ki Hamse Hai, Rang De Basanti, Vande Matram, Hoo Ha – India” and many more. The senior classes sang patriotic numbers to usher in the spirit of being truly Indians. The students spoke about involvement of the spirit of brotherhood, cooperation and patriotism.Principal Madhu Bahl blessed the little enthusiastic students of the school and joined in the spirit with the school choir. She said, “As the youth are the torch bearers of change and should never forget this national spirit”.
The highlight of the programme was a unique presentation by Saral Ahsaas students on the patriotic number “Hara, Safed, Kesaria”. The participants urged the youngsters to stop for a moment on the words of our great leaders and freedom fighters. Holding the National Flags, the students dressed in white kurtas sang the melodious “Dharti Sunehari, Amber Neela …..” and gave a foot tapping performance on the same number.
