Chandigarh, December : Today, in unique gesture of extending warmth of friendship and relations with neigbouring Sri Lanka, students of the Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, presented over 500 Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship Cards to a 13 member Yuvsatta-NGO’s delegation leaving for Sri Lanka tomorrow.
Aruna Bhardwaj, Principal of the School expressing her satisfaction on this initiative shared that the relationship between India & Sri Lanka is more than 2,500 years old and both sides have built upon a legacy of intellectual, cultural, religious and linguistic intercourse. And in the past along with Yuvsatta, they had the pleasure of hosting visits of different people from Sri Lanka and look forward to more such educational and cultural exchange programmes.
Today students of the Gurukul Global School along with their Principal and Director Parveen Setia presented ‘Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship Cards’ to Pramod Sharma, Coordinator of Yuvsatta who is leading the friendship delegation to Sri Lanka. In this delegation University Professor, students, journalist and social activists are going to Colombo and Galle in Sri Lanka for five days and they plan to meet peace activists, students, Councilors of various Municipal Corporations and Parliamentarians in Sri Lanka.
