CHANDIGARH, OCT 8 : As many as 31 boys and 13 girls teams from different schools will take part in the 11th CBSE Cluster XIII Basketball Championships for Under-18 being conducted by The New Public School at the school premises in Sector 18 from October 11 to 13, according to Principal R K Singh. Cluster XIII includes Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Panchkula District, Ambala District, Ropar District, Nangal District and Chandigarh.Hosts New Public School will defend their titles both in the boys as well as girls categories. RD Singh said that matches would be played in the morning and evening sessions. Few matches will be played under floodlight. The matches will be played on knockout basis and the teams would be divided into two groups.
Joint Secretary-cum-Regional Officer CBSE Panchkula DR Yadav will inaugurate the tournament while Rakesh Verma has been deputed as observer by the CBSE.
