By Yadavindra S Rana , Chandigarh, April 23– Solar energy will be generated by setting up Solar Power Plant on spare land between Fatehabad branch and Sidhmukh canals from Tohana head to Kajalheri head. There are ample possibilities of setting up 200 MW solar plant in this 48 kilometer area. A committee constituted by Haryana Renewable Energy Department had conducted a site survey to find out possibilities of solar power generation in this area.
While stating this today, an official spokesman said that with a view to ensure maximum utilization of solar energy and promote it, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Fatehabad has found out possibilities of solar power generation between Fatehabad main branch and Sidhmukh branch which is flowing parallel from Baliawala head of Tohana to Kajalheri head. The Agency had sent a proposal to Haryana Renewable Energy Department regarding availability of shadow-less land and possibilities of solar power generation last year.
