Chandigarh: Sanjay Pahwa:Bank of India celebrated the 105 years of its foundation. On this occasion the Bank of India has decided to open 105 new branches and 105 new ATMs all over India. The inauguration of these new branches was done today by Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, the Finance Minister of India, from New Delhi. The zonal manager of Chandigarh zone, Mr. Rakesh Sethi said that under the scheme Chandigarh will get 2 new Branches and 4 new ATMs. He further added that one branch will be opened at Fridabad and the other at the Chakhri dadri. The four ATMs will be at sector 32 Chandigarh, jhajjar, Tiganv and Chakhri Dadri.
On the completion of 105 years of the Bank of India, a blood donation camp was organized by the Chandigarh zone.The Bank officers and employees actively participated in it.
Shri Rakesh Sethi told that the bank plans to reach 4.5 crore customers and to keep its business to around 5,00,000 crores in the financial year 2010-2011. And the bank also plans to increase its visibility in various states of India.Bank has planned to open more branches to achieve the target of 3600 branches in allover india. If we talk of only Chandigarh the plan is to reach 1,05,500 customers and to increase the business to 7900 crores.Under this scheme 5 new branches will be opened in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
