Barinder Saluja, Chandigarh,Dec 10 : ‘World Human Rights Day’ was observed by The Human Rights Club of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36 B, Chandigarh to mark the importance of human rights and thus respecting the feelings, goals, emotions and desires of others. The program began with the college prayer ‘Bhala Chahana Manush Matr’ which itself conveyed the message of Human Rights and Duties. Miss Rachna gave a brief introduction about the Importance of Human Rights. A Poem ‘Right to live’ was recited by Gurveen and a Skit named ‘Jagriti’ was presented by the M.Ed. students which was followed by the inter-class quiz competition. Dr. Jyoti Khanna, Principal of the college emphasized on the need to respect human rights and human dignity which is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world and appreciated the efforts of the organizers Dr. Manjula Kataria and Dr. Kiran Chopra. The function concluded with the prize distribution to the winners.
