2 Dec :Many activities were marked on the occasion of World AIDS Day, 1st December, 2008 at Patna. Adressing the rally at World AIDS Day, Health Minister Bihar, Mr Nand Kishore Yadav said that government is committed to control the spread of disease in Bihar.For this many activities are being undertaken that targets the migrant population. Noted Physician and AIDS Specialist Dr Diwakar Tejaswi informed that officially more than 21,000 persons are living with HIV in Bihar and about 4000 persons are on Anti Retroviral Treatment. Number of HIV infected person is growing day by day. Regional AIDS Training Center and Network in India (RATNEI), International Health Organization organized free Health Checkup and HIV Awareness, Counseling and Testing camp at Meethapur Bus Stand with collaborative NGOs.
