9 Mar : Public Awareness for Healthful Approach for Living (PAHAL) celebrated International Women’s Day by honouring Widows living with HIV AIDS for their positive contribution in the society. Smt Reeta Kumari, 25 years from Begusarai and Smt Leela Devi from Masaurhi who are suffering from AIDS since 2006, lost their husband in 2006 and 2007 respectively. They faced the odds of the society but struggled to keep themselves alive and are contributing positively by providing help to women who are living with AIDS.dlso by propagating preventive messages. Dr (Mrs) Kiran Sharan, President PAHAL honoured them for their positive contribution among women living with AIDS. Medical Director PAHAL, Dr Diwakar Tejaswi stated that women accounts for about 40% of total HIV AIDS cases. President of Bihar Network of People Living with HIV AIDS (BNP Plus), Mr Gyanranjan thanked Dr Tejaswi and PAHAL for organsing such encouraging programme on the occassion of International Women’s Day.
