Bihar ; Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar asked PM Narendra Modi to withdraw his DNA remark in an open letter to him. BJP hit back, asking Nitish not to link his arrogance with Bihar’s pride. Meanwhile Nitish took questions on twitter on his open letter.
Politics in Bihar is fast heating up, though the formal declaration of poll dates has not taken place. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore is in Bihar on a two day.
Taking part in the BJP Yuva Samvad Conference in Buxar on Wednesday, he exuded confidence that the next Government in Bihar will be formed by NDA.
Upping the ante, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, raising objections to the word DNA used by PM during a public rally in Muzaffarpur . Describing himself as the son of the soil, guided by the ideals of Gandhi, JP and Lohia, Nitish urged the PM to withdraw his comment.
But NDA ranks were united in their strong attack on Nitish’s letter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a rally in Muzaffarpur on 25 July said that Nitish Kumar had insulted his senior leaders like George Fernandes, Jitan Ram Manjhi and raised questions on Nitish Kumar’s democratic DNA.
PM is again going to address another rally in Gaya district of Bihar on 9th August. Nitish Kumar has tried to play a new card, by writing a letter, just prior to PM’s Gaya rally.
