3 Apr :Notwithstanding differences over the vexed Ayodhya issue between the major NDA partners, BJP and JD(U), Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar is confident that NDA will get a massive mandate in the state on the basis of development work.Referring to BJP’s election manifesto to rebuild Ram Temple at Ayodhaya and abrogate Article 370, Kumar today said, "every party is free to bring its manifesto."
But in case of NDA forming the government at the Centre, the JD(U) would ensure solution to the issue through mutual consent or court verdict and see that the common civil code was not impinged upon and Article 370 not abrogated.
Claiming that the NDA in Bihar would get a massive mandate on the basis of development work, Kumar said, "Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan should read the writing on the wall of their imminent defeat as people of the state are scared at the mere thought of Lalu Prasad making a comeback."
Asked if any action would be taken against George Fernandes for filing his papers as an Independent from Muzaffarpur, Kumar said, "It is a closed chapter for us… There is no need for any disciplinary action since George Shaheb has already left the party on his own."
He said in Bihar the often repeated "my" factor of Lalu Prasad would not work this time and added that "hum" (Hindu-Muslim) would vote for the NDA.
