22 Mar : Lalu has said that alliance with Paswan’s LJP in Bihar is final while RJD is to contest all 3 sitting Congress seats and the JD(U) announced the list of 25 seats in the state.Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Lalu said that regional parties have their own identities and without them no government can be formed at the centre.
He also said that RJD will field its candidate from Aurangabad, Madhubani and Sasaram Lok sabha seats where Congress has sitting MPs.The UPA alliance suffered a set back in Bihar on Saturday when Congress announced that it will contest 37 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
Congress announced 22 seats from Bihar fielding Sadhu Yadav, controversial brother-in-law of Lalu Prasad, from Paschim Champaran.Former RJD leaders Ramai Ram, Girdhari Yadav and Hind Kesari Yadav were also nominated in the 22 candidates list .
The list includes three sitting MPs, Shakeel Ahmed and Meera Kumar both Union Ministers and Nikhil Kumar.Party leader Sushil Kumar Shinde announced the congress decision in New Delhi.
Congress has also released a list of candidates for all the 42 Lok Sabha seats and 290 Assembly seats for Andhra Pradesh.Among the prominent 25 leaders seeking re-election to Lok Sabha are S. Jaipal Reddy, Renuka Choudhry, Panabaka Lakshmi, Pallam Raju, Purendeshwari and Kishore Chandra Dev.
Meanwhile the Congress has released the list of its six candidates out of seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.Following is the list of six candidates announced by Congress for Delhi.
1 Kapil Sibal from Chandani Chowk
2 Krishna Tirath from North West Delhi
3 Jagdish Tytler from North East Delhi
4 Sandeep Dixit from East Delhi
5 Ajay Maken from New Delhi
6 Sajjan Kumar from South Delhi
Out of the seven seats in Delhi, Congress is yet to announce its candidate for West Delhi.
