15 Nov : A day after suspension of Lumding-Agartala rail service following the attack on a train by insurgents, the Tripura govt has decided to request its Assam counterpart for adequate security to running of trains between Agartala and rest of the country.
Pointing out that Tripura was connected with the rest of the country through train service from last month, Transport Minister Manik Dey it is a matter of concern as the North Frontier Railway suspended the service till 27th November.
He said adequate security was needed for the trains passing through Assam to avert any future incident.The Lumding-Agartala train was carried out by Dimasa Black Widow (DBW) insurgents at Jatinga in North Cachar in Assam on Thursday.
