26 Sep :Seven Huji terrorist were killed in an operation by Army in Dhubri District of Assam. The operation was launched last night based on own intelligence.
A group of Huji terrorists from Bangladesh through Dhubri moved to Guwahati. They were to meet with another group of Huji which is already stationed in Guwahati planning for several blasts. This information was collected by mobile interceptors.
In the morning today, the entire group of seven terrorist were encountered leading to a fire fight which lasted 45 minutes. All seven terrorist were gunned down. From them seven automatic pistols, three radio sets, large quantity of explosives mainly gelatin and detonators were recovered. In addition a large quantity of Bangladeshi, Indian and Chinese currency also recovered.
Capt Kuldeep Singh of 21 JAT Regiment led the operation, received 2 bullets but survived due to bullet proof jacket. Search operation is still continuing.
