PASIGHAT, June 29: Education Minister Bosiram Siram underscored the need of proper implementation of Right To Education (RTE) in the state to achieve bumper progress in education sector.
During 6th students meet at Kelek Mirbuk village of Pasighat held yesterday, the minister said the present changes in education sector is joyful outcome of the govt. efforts to empower the youths for sparkling careers, making them effective and responsible citizens of the nation. He reiterated that there should be realistic planning at all levels and emphasized that the Village Education Committee (VEC) should play a proactive role in ensuring regular attendance of both teachers and students in the classes. To arrest the dropout rates in rural areas, he urged the administrators organize awareness programs at place to place and also to monitor the delivery of the reading-writing materials and dresses in schools.While giving an overview of the SSA Rajya Mission, Siram said that Elementary Schooling System is on proper track and specific appointment and regularization of SSA teachers has healed the Schooling Scenario tremendously in the State, he claimed.
The Chief Guest Siram urged the students to maintain unity and brotherhood and suggested to share their experiences and help each other for mutual benefits and academic progressions.
Earlier, the Guest of Honour Namuk Taloh ZPM Bosing in his speech commented the student life was like a clear canvass on which the creativity, talent and capacities could be captured for ever.
