PASIGHAT: As a part of their regular social activities, the three years old Self-Help group namely Friends Of Eighties (FOE) distributed fruits to patients yesterday on the occasion of their rising day.
The friends of 1980 formed FOE during 2008 with a motive to strengthen unity, integrity and affection in the society extending mutual and selfless services to humanity.The members of FOE along with the President Olen Taning, Secretary Opak Nonang, Convener Rajat Kanti Das and renowned leader Kaling Moyong voluntarily donated some amounts for noble cause. The group visiting the General Hospital distributed fruits to 70 indoor patients and wished for speedy recovery extending selfless services to humanity. One insects killer sprayer was handed over to the hospital authority on the day. Earlier free tuition to Balek Secondary School students and expenditures of clef-lips operation two patients in Dibrugarh are remarkable contribution of the group.
The Jt. Director Health Services (T&R) Dr. Kabang Lego and Medical Supdt. Dr. Onik Moyong welcomed the efforts and expressed gratitude for this kind gesture.
