PASIGHAT, April 2: In an effort to provide faster public delivery service, Jan-Suvidha Centre was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Onit Panyang on 31st March last.
Speaking on the occasion, Panyang informed that it was a part of yearlong Pasighat Centenary Celebration-11 and the day 31st March coincides to the assassination of the APO (British Govt) Sadiya Noel Williumson by the great warrior and patriot Matmur Jamoh at Komsing on 31st March, 1911. The DC also stated that the JS Center occupies an important place as it is people oriented, transparent, most authentic and serving the cause of common people. The main objective of the project is to bring all government services under one roof and make a system so simple that public can conveniently get services without much hassle. The system is also made in such a way that there can not be any involvement of Middle men and vested parties, he further added.Panyang who took the initiative for opening of the JS Centre lauded ADC SC Debnath, Circle Officer Janes M. Tayeng and DIA Rahul Gautom and NIC staffs who worked hard for timely completion of the project in East Siang.
Earlier the ADC Debnath while delivering his speech said it was an attempt to provide a single-window solution to the citizens, where various services of the office of DC are provided under one roof implementing e-governance in the district. The citizens need to approach only the receipt and delivery counter instead of finding their way through the maze of branches in the office to get work done, claimed Debnath. Now onwards, people would feel easy in obtaining various certificates like Schedule Tribe, Permanent Residential Certificates, Inner Line Permit, TRC and Identity Card etc and more facilities like Gun licence, Ration card, Driving licence, Video licence etc would be introduced soon, the ADC assured.
