PASIGHAT, Feb 9: A three-day campaign on Bharat Nirman program, organized by Press Information Bureau (PIB) in collaboration with the East Siang district administration was formally inaugurated by the DC Talem Tapok at Ruksin today. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Tapok said such awareness programmes are held annually to create awareness among the people so that they could avail optimum benefits of the central schemes to enhance living standard. He said the actual motive was to disseminate information about the flagship programmes of the central government, as well as facilitate an interface between the people and the state executors. He while extending his thanks the PIB authorities for organizing the campaign at Ruksin, claimed there have been full co-operation from the state government.
Tapok felt it was an opportunity for the nodal agencies to share their experiences and discuss the hurdles while implementing the schemes in the district. Taking privilege on the occasion the DC urged the senior citizens to be more cooperative to check anti-social activities, showing right paths to the younger generation maintaining peace and tranquility. He appealed the teaching community to be sincere, dedicated and punctual during classroom transactions and students to be concentrated in studies for career prospects. According to him ‘Kebang’ was the cheapest and fastest way of delivering justice to the society. He advised the GBs to be impartial and further stated they should be well versed about their power and functions
. The Deputy Director (PIB) M Doley also spoke and conveyed his thanks to the DC and officers of East Siang District. A number of experts and resource persons of various departments delivered lectures at the campaign followed by interactive session with public. They presented plans, activities, reports etc on various projects and schemes being carried out for public welfare.
