High Court Bar Association in collaboration with Progressive Lawyers Forum organised a seminar on “ Interactive Talk with Young Lawyers” today at Punjab & Haryana High Court Auditorium. The event was well attended by the young lawyers for the bar. Hon’ble Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul encouraged the young lawyers to emerge as successful lawyers. Chief Justice gave numerous tips to young lawyers how to maintain the sanctity of the profession given the fact that this legal stream faces so many challenges . He also discussed how to earn respect.
Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant said that Keep yourself up to date on your area of law, and memorize them as they apply in your jurisdiction. He also added to organise training programmes for young lawyers in judicial academy. He added that Lawyers have a responsibility to guide people through the legal system, but do it with grace and tact simultaneously is a tough job. A good lawyer can make all the difference in the fate of their client .
Hon’ble Justice K. Kannan, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court said that young lawyers should hold weekly meetings for one hour to discuss on various legal issues. This will bring clarity of thought and opinion among the lawyer. Young lawyers should not lose hope even if he faces challenges. He should continue to pay efforts to reach the height of success. And if a lawyer is honest in his dealing and profession, nothing can deter him from becoming a successful lawyer.
Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu, President, High Court Bar Association gave a welcome speech and motivated the young lawyers and said that bar is always there to support the new entrants in the bar.
Sh. Saurav Khurana, Secretary of HCBA, Nirbhay Garg, Vice President, HCBA, Gaurav Goel, President, PLF , And B S Makkar, Gen Sec, PLF, Sanamjeet Kaur, Joint Sec, HCBA, And Deepankur Sharma, Treasurer were also present during the seminar.
