Department of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh received four awards in oral presentations at 6th Annual conference of North States chapter of ASI, organized by Department of Anatomy, Govt. Medical College, Amritsar on 13th Nov 2011. Narbada Saini, PhD student and Harsimranjit Singh, Msc 2nd year student won first prizes for their work on “Age related changes in atrioventricular valve apparatus of human hearts: A histological study” and “Microsurgical Anatomy of middle cerebral artery” respectively.
Anjali Singla and Arpandeep (PhD students) were also awarded 2nd and 3rd prizes for their studies on “The topographical anatomy of round window and its implications during cochlear implantations” and “Anatomy of coronary venous system and its clinical implications”. These students are doing their Research work under Dr. Daisy Sahni.
