22 jan : The Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch conducted a Multi Specialty camp at Tseminyu, Kohima District on 29th November 2008. The Team was led by Convenor, Dr. N.T. Sangtam, and other team members Surgical Specialist, M.C, Dr. S.l. Toshi Ao, ENT, Specialist, M.C. Dr. R. Zinyii, Eye specialist, Kohima, Dr. Salie Iralu, Medical Specialist, Medical Suptt., Khuzama Hospital, Dr. Loso Chalai, G & O specialist, NHAK, Dr. Imotemsu, Ayurvedic MO, NHAK, Dr. Mary Belho, SIN, NHAK, Thekhruneinuo, SIN, NHAK, Rukhietuonuo, O.T. Asst, NHAK, Ketholetou, APO, IRCSN, Kohima, Lucy, M.C. Member, IRCSN, Kohima S.K. Rengma,.
Altogether 338 patients were examined and provided free medicines. 7 cases were operated for laparoscopic tubal legation and few minor operations were done.
The team expressed its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Parliamentary Secretary of Co-operation and Horticulture, Nagaland, R. Khing for gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest and also providing lunch for the team. The team further thanked Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, W. Kenye and his team of officials, Sr. M.O., Tseminyu CHC, Dr. Ahu Sekhose, and its team of Doctors and staffs of Tseminyu CHC, Tesophenyu PHC and Chunlika PHC and public leaders for their kind co-operation and services rendered during the camp. The IRCSN also express its gratefulness to the Managing Director, NHAK for deputing doctors and paramedics for the camp.
