The department of Internal Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh is organizing a day-long continuous medical education program on acute care medicine
on Sunday. Topics of discussion are related to Hospital Acquired Infection; Ventilator acquired pneumonia, Sepsis, Smart Bacteria and the appropriate use of Microbiology laboratory in sepsis. The afternoon session will be devoted to the session on acute cardiac emergencies namely tachyarrhythmias, heart failure, chest pain and severe hypertension followed a session on tropical medicine focusing on malaria and its treatment, viral encephalitis and scrub typhus.
Experts from New Delhi, Manipal, Puducherry, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab,
Shimla and PGIMER Chandigarh will deliberate on these issues related
to acute medical care.
