Praising the India’s landmark achievement, media across the globe hail the ISRO’s historic success and congratulate it for join the elite club in very first attempt.
Australia’s news portal The Sideny Morning Herald sees this historic achievement as Asian race to Mars. Portal writes, “India won Asia’s race to Mars when its unmanned Mangalyaan spacecraft successfully entered the Red Planet’s orbit after a 10-month journey on a tiny budget.”
Chinese news portal of China Daily stresses the low-cost of MoM and says “Indian space agency’s low-cost mission to Mars successfully entered the red planet’s orbit on Wednesday, crowning India as the first country to execute such a project in its maiden attempt.”
Chinadaily.com further writes, “The success of the Mars Orbiter Mission, lauded for its low price tag of $74 million, will boost India’s five-decade-old space programme that newly-elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to expand with better infrastructure and technology.”
America’s daily Washington Post wrote, “the India becomes first Asian nation to reach Mars orbit, joins elite global space club — India, the first nation in the world to successfully reach Mars on its first attempt.”
British Broadcasting Corporation took step ahead in praise using the cricket analogy and goes on to say “Better than the cricket team – Indian PM Modi celebrates success of country’s Mars orbiter — A 24-minute engine burn slowed the probe down enough to allow it to be captured by Mars’ gravity.”
America’s Cable News Network praises the historic feat in the orbit of red-planet of ISRO and wrote, “India becomes the first nation to arrive in Mars’ orbit on its first attempt — The staff at the Indian Space Research Organization erupted into applause and cheers after learning that the Mars Orbiter Mission, also known as Mangalyaan, reached the planet’s orbit and made history.”
Russian news portal Russia Today hails the ISRO’s first effort to reach in the orbit of Red Planet and says, “India has become the first nation to reach Mars on its maiden attempt after its Mars Orbiter Mission completed its 10-month journey and successfully entered the Red Planet’s orbit.”
Pakistan’s news web-portal Dawn.com sees it as “India’s successful mission to the Red Planet sees it join an elite club that includes United States, Russia and Europe.”
